No, it's been reported two dozen times. I'm aware of it. ;-)

Things will mostly work if we just take out the G_BREAKPOINT(), but I
don't understand yet what goes wrong (it almost appears to be a main
loop glitch or something), and I'd like to know what the real root
cause of the bug is.
