I don't suppose there is an estimated release date for 2.0, is there?  Not
trying to place pressure, just curious and can't seem to find a GTK news /
devel section on the webpage.

Yes it certainly is, we do feel guilty about this. ;-) Will happen
hopefully fairly soon.
