It's bizarre that AC_C_CONST decided the const keyword is broken. That's
most-likely a bug of some kind, because it works just fine in GNU C++.

Your patch to address the problem this #define of const caused was
incorrect. But I put another patch to address the same problem into a glib
bug report. You can find the bug report at
