ctrl+c in read-only entries

This has probably been discussed before.. Isn't it the intention
that CTRL+C should always copy into the clipboard/buffer
that CTRL+V usually pastes? (I.e. not the buffer which the middle
mouse pastes.)
CTRL+C seems to be disabled in disabled text fields (e.g.
gfontsel/Font Information/Requested Font Name)...
My GTK is 1.2.10.
