Yes.

Well, it works as long as you don't use the animation stuff.

I'm using it in gnome-libs HEAD to load a GdkPixbuf from a
gnome-vfs URI.

Hmm, when this is done, basically all that needs to be done
is to re-add the signal stuff so my patch was not totally in
vain, we just need to keep it somewhere until GSignal is
finished ....
