Bitmaps under GTK-win32

I guess Tor will be responsible for this.
I am writing an cross-platform application (GNU/Linux, Win32) and I have had
some troubles to display a bitmap image.
I noticed that I had to invert the bit significance when drawing my original
GdkImage onto the GdkBitmap (used as a mask for a GdkPixmap).

I can imagine this is not really normal so I submit this to both lists.
