I am compiling in Solaris 2.9 with gcc 3.0.3; using source
gnome-all-1.3.17.
This looks like a bug in gcc. Is it possible to upgrade to a later
version of gcc? Alternatively you might try reconfiguring with different
CXXFLAGS and see if that helps.
export CXXFLAGS=-O
./configure ...
