[gnomemm] Writing the contentes of Gnome::Canvas to a file

Hi all

I'm tryng to write the contentes of a Gnome::Canvas::Canvas to a image 
file.

I have noticed the presence of 

const Glib::RefPtr< Gdk::Drawable > &,
int, int, int, int > signal_draw_background ()

but with this I can only write the background of the canvas to a file.

How can I write the elements inside the canvas also?
