[GnomeMeeting-list] ieee1394 webcam on ekiga-2.0.1

Dear listers,

I am checking the firewire webcams on ekiga-2.0.1.
My findings are as follows:
(1) On some i386 platforms, ieee1394 webcams do not work with
ekiga-2.0.1, although coriander works fine with them.
On the platforms I tested, ieee1394 webcams work fine with
gm-1.2.
(2) On amd64 platforms, ieee1394 webcams seem to work better
than the i386 platform.  But, I was disappointed that the
size of the video is too small; the same ieee1394 webcams
support 640x480 video size with high quality, which  gm-1.2 can
exploit; it is pity that we cannot make use of this capability
on ekiga-2.0.1.  This is a very big drawback of current version
of ekiga.
