[GnomeMeeting-list] Ekiga Chat - What protocol?

Hi all,
was doing some more mucking around with Ekiga yesterday, and have a
couple of questions about the Chat stuff....

1) What protocol does this use? Does it depend on what service you are
connected to (ie. H323 or SIP)

2) FAQ says it uses DTMF is this still right?

As a matter of interest do you know that FWD conference server seems to
support Chat. If you call '513 fwd pulver com' is displays 'please enter
your access code followed by #'.
