Here is my results:

(1) External speaker
% gconftool-2 -g /apps/gnomemeeting/devices/audio/output_device
C-Media USB Headphone Set

(2) Headset for chatting
% gconftool-2 -g /apps/gnomemeeting/general/sound_events/output_device
Ensoniq Audio PCI

Note:  We found that onboard Nvdia sound is unstable, so we switched
to PCI bus card as above.

I guess the setting I made is recognised by gconftool-2.
But, still I do not hear the incoming call from the external
speaker.
