I continue having problems with sound in gnomemeeting. When I try to configure sound (using the automatic setting in Edit) when I test it gnomemeeting crashes. I started gnomemeeting with debug and I received an error message just before to crashe an segmentation fault error. How could I try to follow the problem in order to fix it up?

gdb gnomemeeting
run
and when it crashes, type "thread apply all bt"

You can mail the output here. I would think of a libasound problem, I
know Mandrake has had such a problem due to a buggy patch they had
applied to libasound, but I don't know if it affects Mandrake or Cooker.
Here is the output of your advices. I guess your are wright. It seems it is a libsound problem...

Thanks in advance

Antonio Carlos

PS: I am running gnomemeeting in Mandriva LE 2005 with kde 3.4 (but the problem was happening in Mandriva LE 2005 wiht kde 3.3 also. My computer is a AMD Athton XP 1700 Plus, with 2.5 Gb free, Video Card Nvidia Gforce 4 MX 440 (I guess that is this specification), with Capture Video Card Prolink Pixelview BT878 + Revision 4C. Sound Card Onboard SiS7012 PCI Audio Accelerator, Driver snd-intel8x0, with alternative drivers (possible) ali5455, i810_audio, nvaudio.
If you need some more information, please, let me known.
