Hi ,

   Well thanks for the help. But I was able to make that Socket problem
resolved by starting the mDNSResponder.

But regarding the second one as you suggested about the liborbit and
libbonobo, I had installed these prior to installing GM1.2.0
 
Sorry I forgot to mention about all the packages.
THese packages were:-

		ORBit2-2.9.8-0.ximian.6.1
                ORBit2-devel-2.9.8-0.ximian.6.1
                libbonobo-2.4.3
                libbonoboui-2.4.3
