Actually, it seems that there are 2 models :
http://alpha.dyndns.org/ov511/cameras.html

- One model with an "alpha quality" (from the webpate) driver, the one
you mention.

- Another model supported by ov511. However, if you look at the status
page, it is not described as "working", in green, but as "Should work
with driver 2.22". 

I guess it explains the problems.
