Current GnomeMeeting supports the OSS interface and API. That means that
when you are using ALSA, you need to load the OSS compatibility modules.
But the CVS version of GnomeMeeting, OpenH323 and PWLib + patches permit
you to have native ALSA support, with resampling and things like that.

However, we do not advise you to compile it yourself, but we have debian
packages.
