I am trying to
install the latest gnomemeeting on my Suse 8.2 system following Stefan Bruens'
directions. openh and pwlib install fine, but while installing the gnomemeeting
package I get the message "libsasl.so.7 needed". cyrus-sasl2-2.2.12-31 is installed
but it doesn't provide libsasl.so.7.
If I try to remedy
this by installing cyrus-sasl, I'm warned that this is an obsolete package.
What's the fix? Does one of the sasl2 so's provide the same functionality so
that a symbolic link can fix the problem? Does anybody have
suggestions?
