[GnomeMeeting-list] doubt about the ils

Hi
   I dont understand why the ilsclient unregister&register
every 20 minitues.Could you tell me why it is necessary?
   A user register his mailAddress and IP to the LdapServer.
When he login,it is necessary to update his IP to the server.
 But after that,the commnication with others can be made unless he logout.
  I thought I can communicat with anyone as long as I have (his_IP,his_port1720).
Am I right?
