hi Brian,
for the FAQ you have to see at this URL :

http://www.gnomemeeting.org/index.php?rub=3&pos=0

and more precisely :
http://www.gnomemeeting.org/index.php?rub=3&pos=0&faqpage=x348.html#AEN389
about sound problem

i will just add that you will have to be sure you use ALSA sound driver,
but as i have this same sound card chipset on my laptop, i fear that you
won't have very good result with this, unfortunatelly. Even with ALSA,
there was some problem with full duplexity.(though as i know use a
webcam with an integrated mic, i didn't retest full duplex with i810).
Other programs doesn't use full duplex capacities, so it might work with
them but not with GnomeMeeting.
The esd is known to block the sound device if running.
Otherwise, as said in the FAQ, be sure of the permissions/rights on the
sound device.

hope this helps.

cheers,

Fabrice
