Re: [GnomeMeeting-list] terrible echo

Hi,

GM version 0.95.0

I just did a demo here at work. local network. GM to NM

2 different pc's, one w98, the other w2k.

the gm session was essentially fine.

the nm session has terrible terrible echo. They would talk, and then about 2-3
seconds later they would hear their own voice echoing. both window pcs to GM.

Then we did some more testing.

then we re-tested NM to GM, and this time there was only a very slight echo on
the W98 PC. But when we retested on the W2k pc, it still has the bad echo.

I am not sure what is going on, but I'm leaning towards GM bouncing back the
incoming signal (which would explain the 2-3 sec delay).

any one else seeing this ?

Are you only recording from the MIC on the GM system? Maybe the machine is recording everything you hear - including the incoming signal :-/

Or maybe not.
