[GnomeMeeting-list] Audio problem

OK, I will try to give as much detail as I can, but I'm not sure what you
need!

I downloaded and installed the latest Slackware package of gnomemeeting, and
it started fine. I started to test it with another computer on our LAN, which
was running Windows XP with NetMeeting 3. Video contact worked immediately,
and for a few blissful moments I had communication (with the u-law codec
according to the History box). When i would say something on my machine
(running GM), something would come out of the remote machine's speakers. The
problem seemed to be that it was inverted (ie if I gave a rising whistle to
the mike, a falling whine would come from the speakers on the remote
machine). I fiddled with some settings and different codecs, and suddenly
nothing worked. I tried with a different NetMeeting 3 machine, on which I
installed the MS-GSM codec as downloaded from the GM website. It would
connect, but no audio I put into the mike would come out the other end - not
a peep, not the slightest twitch on the speaker output indicator on the
remote machine. The below is what I got when I ran gnomemeeting with --debug
- the first line happens once, then the next ones repeat until I terminate
the call.

I do not know, but that does not look like the audio is being sent at all.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks very much!
