If I find the answer to this in some obvious FAQ, I'll shoot myself....
I can't seem to get past the RPM installation of GM0.12 on my RH7.1
system. The new pwlib, openh323, and openh323-devel installed easy
enough but the new GM seems to require libcrypto.so.2 and libssl.so.2
(as does the new pwlib-devel). Well, I found out that those two files
are in the latest openssl package, 0.9.6b. Fine. But the 0.9.6b isn't
available for RH7.1, just RH7.2. When I attempted to install the 0.9.6b
package anyway, I was warned about breaking a couple dozen dependencies
for apps that require libcrypto.so.1.
So I went scurrying off to the newsgroups. Evidently, libcrypto.so.2 is
not backwards compatible with libcrypto.so.1. Or some such thing.
Hell, I'm not a developer.
So at first blush, it seems that I'm stuck with libcrypto.so.1.
Which means I can't use libcrypto.so.2
Which means I can't install Gnomemeeting 0.12.
Any help?
