[GnomeMeeting-devel-list] Tested Gnomemeeting Opal Snapshot 22.09.2005

Hi

yesterday (Thuesday 28th of September) I did some testing with the latest
Gnomemeeting snapshots.

- Installed latest deb's from snapshots.gnomemeeting.org
- My system: Kanotix 2003-03 (based on Debian unstable)
- Machine behind a masquerading machine on which a GnuGK Gatekeeper and
Asterisk is running

Problem Nr1: libhowl0 missing and nowhere to find (withdrawn from debian
package obviously) - I found it in your download section for etch (the only
one where it is to be found)

OK, after that I could install Gnomemeeting Opal CVS.

It didn't work :-(

OK, Sound was blocked somehow but it doesn't bother us here. As it looks like,
Gnomemeeting tries to registrer under the external IP (as calculated by STUN,
even though no STUN server was configured) which neither GnuGK nor Asterisk
seemed to like.

No calls possible - not even registering.

Conrad

PS: Just tried to configure Netmeeting over the wire to work with Gnomemeeting
1.2.2 --> hell. No way, though I have the Gatekeeper in between. Had to fall
back to the aging OpenPhone :-( Any other ideas? Gnomemeeting for Windows????
Looking forward what the future brings. Can only get better.

Have a good night, Greetings from Hamburg
