Well, I don't have esd installed (I am a kde user; but I haven't arts installed neither...) and I don't like to install/run a daemon just for gnomemeeting, which I don't need otherwise. Furthermore my patch shouldn't break default behaviour. If esd is found, support is compiled in, if not, get rid of it. -- Prakash Punnoor
