Hi everyone, some of you might already have heard it, but here comes the great news: GnomeMeeting CVS is capable of using H263 for video transmission. You'll need to download the codec binary or compile it by hand. The packages were built against the one at: http://www.voxgratia.org/bin/libavcodec-0.4.7-linux.bin.tar.gz Instructions for compilation are at: http://www.voxgratia.org/h263_codec.html To use the H263, simply unpack/install libavcodec.so to /usr/lib/pwlib/ and off you go ;) H263-capable CVS dists are so far: Debian SID, SARGE, WOODY, Slack9.1 and SuSE 9.0 Please report any oddities and further feature requests concerning H263 here. -- Best regards, Kilian
