Code reorganisation makes a clearer code, that newcomers may find easier
to understand ; I think it would be nice if new people were able to
join!
Making things private and hiding the implementation details makes it
possible to tweak a part of gm (to add features or provide an
alternative implementation) knowing that it won't break the rest.
I agree that it is really annoying to do, but it should make
gnomemeeting progress faster in the end.

PS: as an example of the "provide an alternative implementation", I
would point to the glib implementation of the configuration system, that
should make gm work on win32 soon!
