[GnomeMeeting-devel-list] Instruction for the 1.00 release

This message is addressed to everyone and everyone should read it
entirely !

For translations :
------------------

- The strings freeze started yesterday, all GNOME translators are aware
of the strings freeze but not the others (e.g. Ossama Khayat, Alession
Dessi, ...), 23 February.

For packaging :
---------------

- Due to the recent introduction of plugins, official packagers
(Alexander Larsson, Frédéric Crozat, Raker, ...) should start training
now. The new way to compile pwlib is : ./configure --prefix=/usr
--enable-plugins ; make ; make install. The new way to compile OpenH323
is ./configure --prefix=/usr ; make ; make install.
Attention Achtung! : At least the OSS, ALSA and AVC plugins should be
built. They require installation of devel libs.

- The official packaging period will start on 24 February and will end
on 29 February. If the official packagers do not build packages on their
last stable distribution, our CVS packagers will rebuild official
packages from their sources. The release will happen on tuesday 2 March,
one week before GNOME 2.6 (or our news will be swallowed by the GNOME
release).

For testing :
-------------

- All tests have to be done before 23 February, in 13 days. Please test
weird things and use Fast Start and Tunneling as they are the new
defaults.

- CVS packagers should not use --enable-plugins when compiling PWLib, or
I get invalid backtraces and it is very hard to debug.

For the website :
-----------------

- The new website needs to be ready for the 28 February.

Good luck to all, let's hope it will go well :/

Thank you for your help, support, time, that's invaluable......
