Just checked things. That is misleading, but not really a bug either...

You got the popup telling you it was impossible to open the device for
reading, then you got the popup telling you it was recording. That
simply means that you can record (and it is recording) but not play, so
another program is already playing some sound to the soundcard.

I will change the behavior in CVS, the popup will only appear if both
channels are successfully opened. If you have time, that is an easy to
fix thing.

I'll improve the druid when I come back and use the "apply only at the
end but defaults to the current used settings" tactic instead of the
"apply instantly" technic.
