*When I do cd /dev and ls -l | less, I obtain:

*With usermod, I placed me as a regular user in the "video" group.
I also added previously "v4l" as a module in /etc/X11/Xf86Config.

*However when I try xawtv i get back:

can't open /dev/v4l/video0: Connection timed out
v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway
v4l2: open /dev/v4l/video0: Permission denied

v4l: open /dev/v4l/video0: Permission denied
no video grabber device available

*Morevover I tried xawtv -hwscan:
This is xawtv-3.86, running on Linux /i686 (2.4.20-gentoo-r8)
looking for available devices

/dev/v4l/video0: Permission denied

If GM is started, I obtain the nice interface. In the video section, the 
configuration druid indicates me that only the picture is available (i.e. i 
have no possibility to select /dev/video0). 

I do not understand what i should do...
Either I have no /dev/v4l, GM disagree logically.
Either I have a /dev/v4L, GN does not give me the possibility to select 
something else that "Picture".
