Hi all,
Some of you asked me how they could help fixing small things in
GnomeMeeting, ie things that do not ask a lot of knowledge to be fixed.
Yesterday, I sent a mail with the HIG review from Calum Benson for the
druid and for the main GUI. Those things are trivial to fix. I asked to
people wanting to help to send a mail telling what they plan to fix in
the list given by Calum, but nobody answered. Does that mean that people
want to help the project as long as there is nothing to do ?
Sending a list of what you plan to fix is absolutely needed, because:
- it permits to know if somebody is already working on something
- it permits to discuss if we really implement the change proposed by
Calum or if we prefer it the old way (I don't think that should happen
too much) or if we do it in another way.
1.00 is also near, but things still need to be done (improving website,
writing documentation compatible with Gnome, strings review by UK
people, gconf keys review and reorganisation...).
I think that all of you would like to have a release for FOSDEM. But if
nobody is helping to do even easy tasks, and if I have to do everything
myself, 1.00 won't happen before GUADEC at best, which is a nice place
too to make a release.
