Check that the environment variable PKG_CONFIG_PATH is set up before trying to compile. If you have a file /usr/lib/pkgconfig/libglade-gnome.pc it should be set to /usr/lib/pkgconfig If you have no such file, then you probably don't have glade-gnome installed.
