Hi Lee, welcome on board. I think the goal you have picked needs a coordinator with a CVS account in gnome.org and, most important, a deep knowledge of the past, present and potential futures of the content available at developer.gnome.org. I won't tell names but, in fact, the effective coordination of this goal can be done just by a few vet contributors. See http://live.gnome.org/GnomeWeb/DeveloperGnomeOrg If you have a look to the goals for the current release, none of them if related to migrating content at all. To migrate the content of dgo you need a) the involvement of the projects since they know what is already migrated and what needs migration and b) at least library.gnome.org up and running, ready to receive content. This is why it would be unrealistic to start migrating anything now, and this is why the goals for the current release are "just" preparatory of that migration, that should happen in the next release cycle. I recommend you pick another goal to start with. For instance, since you say you like to write and you can do it well, why not start with this unassigned goal: * First bunch of case studies - http://live.gnome.org/GnomeWeb/CaseStudies I don't want to discourage you, and I recommend you to help the coordinator of the dgo goal once it appears. But really, without a CVS account and a perfect knowledge of what's going on with dgo you might not get out ever from the muddy waters.
