Well,
es is Spain, Chile, Mexico, ...
pt is Portugal, Brazil, ...
en is USA, GB, Canada, Australia, ...
de is Germany, Austria, Switzerland, ...
I think that we shouldn't see that as a big problem as Canadian and
Australian people are smart enough to take (us or gb) english on other
websites, why shouldn't Austrians, Mexicans, ... be that smart too?

PS: It's just called "GNOME Deutschland" it's more like "GNOME
Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz, Polen, USA" actually
