Dave, like the look. It's nice to see some new interpretations of the
old stuff. My only comment would be that I hope we can avoid alluding
to Ximian or other identifiable styles. IMO, Palm owns the round
button look, and everybody, including Microsoft, has ripped off
Apple's Aqua with the glossy gel bubble emblem thingys. <yawn>

GIMP 1.2 had a very cool shimmering moon splash screen:

Don't know that I recognize if from anywhere else... I wonder if we
