What do you mean by this? If removing the target removed the source too,
how can we decline to delete the source? its already deleted...
If the previous point "the conflict target is only deleted after the
source is opened, so the handle keeps us from losing the source" holds,
we'll get the source file back as the target gets written from that handle.
