Problem compiling gnome-vfs

Hi to all:
I was download gnome 2.8.3. When i try to compile the package
gnome-vfs-2.8.4 have problem. The configure process was be done without
problem, but when do "make" I had "libgnomevfs-2.so undefined refrerence
to xmlNewTextReaderFilename". I'm newbie in this. Please help me.
