Hello I'm running Fedora Core 2 ggv.i386 0:2.6.0-2, gnome 2.6, and the 2.6.10-1.9_FC2 kernel, on an Athlon XP1800 When I attempt to launch ggv, I'm getting these error messages: (ggv:4375): gnome-vfs-modules-WARNING **: gnome_vfs_inet_connection_create ("192.168.1.11", 0) = "Generic error" ( ggv:7311): gnome-vfs-modules-WARNING **: gnome_vfs_inet_connection_create ("suescomputer", 0) = "Generic error" (ggv:7311): gnome-vfs-modules-WARNING **: gnome_vfs_inet_connection_create ("ftp.suescomputer", 0) = "Host not found" and, when I try to kill it, I get (ggv:4372): Bonobo-CRITICAL **: file bonobo-main.c: line 329 (bonobo_main_quit): assertion `bonobo_main_loops != NULL' failed The IP address it's listing in the first error message is the internal address of one of my machines behind my firewall. It's like it's trying to connect to / display to it or something. All my other X graphics apps are working fine - like gpdf and xpdf. I like using ggv though, and I often need to view postscript. I had been fooling around (unsuccessfully) with the nautilus feature that allows you to connect to other computers (I also have a Macintosh running OS 10), and these look like some of the connection names I was trying. Is there configuration file somewhere I can delete/reset so that I don't get this behavior? I have looked in /etc, my home directory, and in /var for files containing key words from the error messages above, but have not found such a file. Thanks for any help, Scott PS: I can ssh to the mac from the command line of my linux box, and I can also use scp to copy files from/to it. These also work when I do them from the Mac as well |
