Found fix for make problem

A couple of days ago I posted a message ( listed on
Vol 1 #126 ) talking about a make problem. So, I
played a little more with it, and I realized gcc was
giving trouble. I'm currently using gcc 3.4, and when
I downgraded to the 3.2 version everything worked fine
( that's what happens when one tries the latest and
greatest )
