volunteer: rpm support

somebody out there hacking rpm module for gnome-vfs?
I volunteer, are there allready some notes, I could read first?
This module, I assume, would be a wrapper arround librpm?

Beside pushing my future module into 
http://cvs.gnome.org/lxr/source/gnome-vfs/modules/
what else has to be prepared/configured to make this module accessible?
