gnome-dictionary for offline usage?

Hello,

are there plans to make gnome-dictionary work with a local dictionary
file as well, so it can be used offline?
For example, ding (http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~fri/ding/) is an
english-german dictionary which I find quite useful when I'm stuck
somewhere with no internet connection - only ding looks a bit old :) and
also doesn't offer online search... How about integrating the ding
dictionary file (and/or similar dictionary files) into gnome-dictionary?

Thanks,
Oliver Gerlich
