Hi !
i saw your idea about making (you call it) themes for GUI-Style,
well thats really missing on X ofcourse.
Therefore i got started December 1997 (not long ago) the nirvana project
(http://tek.flynet.de), that was intended to fill this big hole... its a
planned to be a new toolkit with many features...
i just have started, so if you are interested in cooperate teamwork,
tell me.
i had my experiences on AmigaOS with the MUI (Magic User Interface).
Itīs the best toolkit for GUIs ever seen. The concept exists FOR FIVE
YEARS.
And its the standard on AmigaOS. Thats really missing on unix/X.
the nirvana-project has same ideas, but with the extra feature of
io-classes that
handle the input-output (so the look&feel) - that means you can start an
application
via CONSOLE (over NCURSES) or X, and you can work with it. On X with
many features like
full customization of widgets and fully size-sensitiv and under Console
you have
it in character-style also customizable.
thanks for your attention :)
