Hi,
Considering the amount of question arised from the /usr/X11R6/include/freetype directory, I'll try to setup and start a FAQ :)

DO NOT USE GTK 2.0.1, use 2.0.2 !!!!!!!!!!!!
Any question about trouble with gtk 2.0.1 and tree view widget will be skiped.
