Re: Gnome crash after evolution update

well, I did write to ximian list, but there was no answer till now.

regarding upgrade: upgrading to libgnomeui-2.2.0.1-5.i386.rpm from RH 9.0 CD
requires a whole bunch of other upgrades.
Is there any other solution??? ???

Failed dependencies:
        GConf2 >= 2.1.90 is needed by libgnomeui-2.2.0.1-5
        ORBit2 >= 2.5.1 is needed by libgnomeui-2.2.0.1-5
        XFree86-libs >= 4.2.99 is needed by libgnomeui-2.2.0.1-5
        bonobo-activation >= 2.1.0 is needed by libgnomeui-2.2.0.1-5
        glib2 >= 2.2.0 is needed by libgnomeui-2.2.0.1-5
        gnome-vfs2 >= 2.1.6 is needed by libgnomeui-2.2.0.1-5
        gtk2 >= 2.2.0 is needed by libgnomeui-2.2.0.1-5
        libbonobo >= 2.1.0 is needed by libgnomeui-2.2.0.1-5
        libbonoboui >= 2.1.2 is needed by libgnomeui-2.2.0.1-5
        libgnome >= 2.1.90 is needed by libgnomeui-2.2.0.1-5
        libxml2 >= 2.5 is needed by libgnomeui-2.2.0.1-5
        pango >= 1.2.0 is needed by libgnomeui-2.2.0.1-5

Which means new Xfree, new gnome (2.2) which somehow is not cool!
As I'm desperet to get evo working, Ill upgrade to RH9 (which I really do not
want to do right now :(((
I'm prepearing backups "as we speak"...

Tahnk you for your help
Best regards,
Vasja
