firstly thanks a lot for your answer - so i have found the path:
Settings -> Keyboard Shortcuts. But i don't find a way to set my own
key-binding, like 'to start xmms' for ex ample.
My computer is a 'dell' laptop and there are (called)
'multimedia-buttons' and that group of four buttons i can't map to start
a program.
An answer would be fine:-)
To use the multimedia buttons, you'll probably want to use a piece of
software similar to acme (http://www.hadess.net/misc-code.php3).
Acme is not included in GNOME, but it may be included in the coming
GNOME 2.2 release -- it's not decided yet. As for know, you have to
compile it yourself or find acme rpm packages somewhere else on the net.

Sorry but as i have tried to install 'acme' (although my running system
is by "RedHat 8.0") i typed, as a normal user: ./configure and
everything had stopped with the message it had not found 'libgnomeui and
libglade2' but both are installed. So i don't know what'*s to do.
