Palm Pilot Frustrations

I'm trying to get gnome-pilot to sync with my silly palm pilot. Only,
its not. I've set the ttys0 and ttys1 both to rw for everyone...I read
yo had to do that somewhere. But, no dice.
I'm running a Compaq Armada M300 Laptop with a serial port connecting
the cradle to my computer. Any wisdom is greatly appreciated!
