pilot support in evolution

Am I the only one missing the pilot support in evolution?
The last version that included it is evolution-1.0-1, so I'm missing out
on all new upgrades since I actually use evolution so sync my Palm.
The changelog says:
* tor dec 06 2001 Jeremy Katz <katzj redhat com> 1.0-1.7.2
- build without pilot support
without any comment to why it was removed.
