Because I hate it. ;-) Well, close to true.

I don't think it's actually necessary unless you're re-running aclocal
on the packages... of course we do need to allow that, gnome-common is
technically part of the source code I suppose.

If you want to file a bugzilla.redhat.com report I'll put it in, but
not without feeling grumpy about it. ;-)
