 Even worse - even if font of that size exists, XLib won't consider it for
some reason. Here is a sample:

 Note the number of "*" in XLFDs requested. It's with XLib from XFree86-3.3.6,
without using font server. So, my patch really fixes the problem and harmless
for locales that don't suffer from this bug in gnome-print.

 Thanks for you hints! In my tests of gnome-print and russian I forgot to
place russian afms into /usr/share/fonts/afms/adobe, so my internal tests gave
empty spaces instead of russian symbols. When I placed corret .afm (with
correct glyph names) in that dir and named them appropriately, gnome-print
test worked flawlessly! Thanks again..

 As for gnumeric - I just fixed it and will post a patch to gnumeric list
in a few minutes - so gnumeric will print in ideologically correct way with
any encoding (that GP supports).
