[Gnome-print] gnome-print missing?

Dear all:

first of all, sorry for the cross-post, but I have asked for help in
several mailing lists a while ago and I still don't have a solution to this
problem.

I am trying to compile several gnome-related packages (gtkhtml-0.6.1,
balsa1.0pre2 through 1.0.0) and all the configure scripts tell me that
gnome-print is missing.

For example:
...
checking for gnome-print >= 0.20... not found
configure: error: gnome-print 0.16 or later is required to compile GtkHTML.

or

...
checking for gnome-config... (cached) /usr/bin/gnome-config
checking for GNOME-PRINT - version >= 0.20.0... Unknown library `print'
Unknown library `print'
yes
checking for working const... yes
...

The problem is that I do have gnome-print installed (it got installed with
one of HelixCode updates to Gnome).
After doing a 'rpm --rebuilddb' i get the following:
[root@home/fernan]# rpm -q gnome-print
gnome-print-0.25-0_helix_1

I don't know where the problem is. I suspect that there is a problem in the
way gnome-config stores the available packages (perhaps caching) but i
don't have the slightest idea of where to start looking.

Any help will be appreciated.

Fernan
