Conduit with perl

Hi all,
I like to write a sync-conduit with perl for gnome-pilot?
Can anyone given me any information about that topic (a tutorial, an example,
...). - I searched with google without success.
What I need is some general information for conduit developers (for
gnome-pilot).

Is it moved or is the project orphaned? Any alternatives?
