gnome-pilot-conduits memo_file bugs

There are various and sundry bug reports about memo_file being broken in
2.0.9.  =:)  I filed
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114987, and I'm just wondering
if anyone knows what the status is on getting the memo_file conduit
working again.  Unfortunately, it's a very important conduit to me,
since I keep memos on it for work and need to have them on my palm when
I'm wandering around at work, etc.  

I would be happy to help if I can.  I've already pulled the 2.0.9 tree
down and have started looking at it.  But having never looked at it
before, there's a bit of a learning curve, etc.

Does anyone know... when did memo_file last work?  Is this a bug that
was introduced with 2.0.9 or was it also there in 2.0.8?  Or is it
something that might have been introduced in another package entirely? 
I can say that I pulled down 2.0.8 and that version seems to have the
same problem that 2.0.9 has.  

Looking at the stack trace that I submitted as well as the one that
James Strandboge submitted
(http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114361), it sure looks like
there's a lot of libraries involved that aren't in the
gnome-pilot-conduits code base, and I'm not sure where to begin
looking.  It actually looks more like a bug in gpilotd than in
memo_file_conduit.

Anyhoo, if anyone knows what's going on with the memo_file conduit
(status/whom to talk to/whom to offer money to/etc.), please let me
know.
